Product Analyst

Who We Are Looking For:

We are seeking a Product Analyst to join our OEM digital retailing product team. This team leverages our MotoCommerce technology to deliver unique and innovative digital retailing experiences for automotive manufacturers, their dealers or distributors, and their customers. 

 

The primary responsibilities of the product analyst are to;

  • Meet with internal and external stakeholders to analyze business problems and objectives.

  • Formulate business requirements and documentation (i.e. user stories & acceptance criteria) for changes & enhancements.

  • Collaborate with the design and engineering teams on user experiences and technical solutions.

  • Create business test case documentation on software changes and perform acceptance testing for conformance to the requirements.

  • Do the necessary research and data analysis to track and communicate progress against KPIs, test assumptions, and respond to questions from clients or company leadership.

  • Maintain the necessary documentation for the product, including system documentation, test cases, support & training materials, and release notes.

  • Be an expert on the product and provide support to other areas of the organization as needed.

  • Support the ongoing operations of our products as needed. This includes platform maintenance, coordinating with the data and product operations teams, exporting and manipulating data to build reports for internal and external stakeholders, bug fixes and investigations.

  • You will be a client-facing member of the team. This means that you must be responsive to client requests and communications, and represent the values and interests of Motoinsight when engaging with our clients.

  • Additional responsibilities may be allocated to the Product Analyst on a day-to-day basis depending on the needs of the team – we’ll give you as much opportunity and responsibility as you can successfully manage. As a result, the successful candidate must be comfortable in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.

 

Your Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business.

  • Minimum 1+ year experience working in a web-based software product environment. Experience in B2B or B2B2C markets is preferred.

  • Seeing the ‘big-picture’ is easy for you – you can look past the ‘how’ and understand the ‘why’ with ease. You are a pro at identifying the root cause of a problem.

  • You have a business mind with a technology acumen – you can understand a business objective or problem, and create a valuable, flexible, and scalable technology solution (no coding required).

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including internal and external stakeholders.

  • Impeccable attention to detail is an absolute must.

  • You are hyper-organized - no task gets left behind.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Experience communicating with clients and other external stakeholders is preferred.

  • Possess a “Do Whatever it Takes” attitude to get the job done.

  • Self-starter that is comfortable working with minimal oversight and tight deadlines.

  • Comfortable with collecting, manipulating, and analyzing data to support management team & clients with critical product insights.

  • Ability to work among changing priorities and timelines, you are not a 9-5er.

  • Strong productivity software skills are expected, including Office and G-Suite. Experience with Atlassian products (Jira & Confluence), Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Tableau would be an asset.
